The Basics: Paint and Cabinet Hardware … and beyond…

Below a couple of suggestions to update a kitchen or change the appearance:

Need a budget-friendly alternative to stone or granite? Laminate comes in a ton of cool colors and styles or consider Butcher block – it is warm to the touch and durable

Add Bun Legs: Add a bun leg on each corner of a cabinet or in front of the toe kick, so it looks like a freestanding piece of furniture. Bun legs are about $25 each, and you can paint or stain them to match.

Pantry: If you don’t have a walk-in pantry but have room for a tall cabinet, shop home stores to find a furniture piece that makes a statement.

Add Storage with a stack stack of shallow shelves

Need to remove/replace damaged Cabinet doors?
Don’t, add roomy baskets atop each shelf.
