Staging a Family Home: Bedrooms & Playrooms

Staging a Family Home: Bedrooms & Playrooms

Staging for families can be a challenging task. Design2Sell has great ideas on how to stage children’s space while keeping everyone happy until your home is sold.

When staging a family home, parents should expect to be met with some opposition to changing the way their child’s living space looks. It’s up to parents and children to work together and get things done. A lived in show home can get and keep the look you want with just a few easy tips. Design2Sell offers the budget solutions and staging services that you need to sell your home quickly.

A great place to begin is to get rid of all broken and unused toys.Toys that still have some life in them should be donated. This is also a good way to de-clutter closets and get rid of other items in a child’s room. Take extra care when staging children’s bedrooms. Each child should be allowed to only have one box of toys that get played with most often. The toys selected should also be easy to clean up and store. There is always the possibility of a last minute showing. Large toys should be put in storage to maximize floor space. Make sure to use easy storage options such as cubical storage with canvas cubbies. This type of storage allows for toys to be quickly organized and hidden.

Playrooms that are created from a traditional space such as a living room should be converted back into those traditional areas. Make sure this new space is not cluttered or over decorated.

What to do with your kids? Get them involved! Older children are great helpers and can keep things running smoothly by putting their bikes and personal items in their proper place.
