Doctor and Deck Out Your Outdoor Spaces for Fall

As the summer comes to an end the evenings become cool and crisp. That doesn’t mean you need to abandon your outdoor spaces though! Don’t underestimate the power of a beautiful outside living area. Whether you are trying to sell a home or do a quick redesign staging and decorating your outdoor space can go a long way. Decks and patios are often lost real estate space. Decorated properly an outdoors space can become an extension of your home. Here are a few tips for making a warm and welcoming outdoor space for fall and winter.
Tip 1: Now is the perfect time to fix up any loose nails, re-stain a dingy deck, or power wash the patio.
Tip 2: Use lower wattage lighting or small decorative lights to illuminate an outdoor space. It cuts energy costs and creates a magical and soothing environment.
Tip 3: Put away the umbrella. Make sure you clean it first. Then let the sky be your canopy.
Tip 4: Now is the perfect time to buy new cushions for your outdoor furniture. Most stores will have outdoor patio furniture and accessories on sale.
Tip 5: Decorate an empty corner for fall with a barrel of hay some gourds or pumpkins and a large pot full of colorful mums.
