Christmas décor trends 2012

December 4, 2012 | Barbara's Blog

Following characteristics are representing this year’s Christmas décor trends: white, classic, natural and self made. The holiday trends were presented in Frankfurt, Germany by trendy exhibitors at the world’s leading trade fair for festive decorations, Christmasworld. The extensive use of white color with a great desire for snow made it obvious that white is this year’s dominant color trend for Christmas. Even traditional Christmas colors such as red and green disappeared to a large extent under white coverings of bio, power, scatter, crystal or gently iridescent artificial snow. Freezing water drops and silver glitter overpowered glass ornaments, danglers and stars at the fair. The trend in tree and table decorations has classic elements such as baubles, stars and nativity figures which preserve Christmas traditional character.
