We stage a variety of homes for our clients, each one unique in its architectural style, location and future buyer. When Realtors come to us for a staging, we enjoy working with them to learn more about the project, from the unique architectural features to the type of buyer that may be interested in this home. Once we’ve compiled the research, we then use our extensive knowledge and design expertise to create a stunning stage that will help potential buyers visualize themselves in the home, meaning that Realtor sells the home in record time!
This is the exact process we followed when Realtor Anna Killinski of Anna K Intown approached us to stage a new construction listing in Atlanta. This modern home in Atlanta’s Lavista Park neighborhood includes a spacious 4,418 square feet of living space, as well as four bedrooms and six bathrooms. Built by Wise Builders and priced at $1,995,000, the home has high-end features and detailed craftsmanship throughout, as well as beautiful views from tons of windows, and we knew our design had to take all of these things into consideration.
Senior Property Stylist Barbara Ader hit a home run with this luxury staging project! The funky, modern furniture is a beautiful complement to the home’s layout and architectural details, and it provides plenty to occupy the eye within the home while not competing with the incredible outdoor views. Most of the furniture is low and streamlined so that it doesn’t block the windows and their views.
Like most modern homes, this house features white walls with light wood floors and cabinetry, and light-colored countertops throughout, from creams to light grays. The décor mirrors that by incorporating neutral tones paired with pops of color for contrast, as seen in the main living area. A floating fireplace is the focal point of the room, while a cream sectional sofa and two leather club chairs provide plenty of seating. Pops of color are added by incorporating throw pillows and one-of-a-kind art, which can be credited to artist Nabil Mousa. Color was also added to the neutral colored kitchen and dining area through a bold American flag painting, while the casual living space features bright blue pillows.
Throughout the home, consistent trends are seen in the staging, like the use of colorful, bold art. The many pieces of abstract art, while all different, provide a common element from room to room. The large painting used in a cubby off the main living area echoes the muted tones found in the set of three paintings over the bed in the master bedroom. A guest bedroom features also abstract art incorporating strong reds, oranges and blues, which mirror the blue bedside table.
Overall, the décor in this home complements the modern interior by providing warmth through colors and materials. The artwork featured in this home by artist Nabil Mousa was provided by Gallery 874 and is for sale! Nabil Mousa is an advocate for justice, peace, equality, and the featured artwork reflects that. Mousa was recently featured on the front cover of the New York Times Art section on January 14, 2018 for his solo show at the Arab American National Museum “AANM”. A modern home can sometimes appear vast and somewhat cold when empty, but proper staging can add just the right amount of life to make an empty house feel like home.
