Nordic Style Used to Stage Luxury Buckhead Home

At Design2Sell, we love to test out the latest in design trends. On one of our most recent projects, we were tasked with staging a luxury Buckhead home to sell. To help highlight the classic architecture of the building, we chose to stage the home with a Nordic style. This style uses clean lines and an organized, modern feel while featuring neutral colors with vibrant pops of warm color. The purpose of Nordic style is to open up an area, helping to make it feel simple and spacious while remaining warm and cozy.

The living room we staged shows many characteristics of the classic Nordic style. Used throughout the room are neutral and subdued colors. The white couch, light tan chairs, off-white rug and single painting with blues and grays all work together to keep the colors in this room minimal. Another component of the design trend is a wood coffee table. The classic centerpiece of this living room uses natural-looking materials as well as smooth, straight lines. These are both characteristics of the popular Nordic style.Nordic Style Living Room

Another room we staged to represent this cultural style is the dining room. The dining room uses many of the same themes as the living room including neutral colors and clean lines. The same color rug rests in the dining room as well as brown furniture, white and brown wall art and warm lighting with brass colors. The dining table made from natural wood offers clean, straight lines throughout, while different decorative accents using green colors sit sparingly around the room. These additions of warm accents help the room feel welcoming and comfortable. Warm, inviting accents in a neutral and subdued room highlights the staple of classic Nordic style.Nordic Style Dining Room

Everything in this home we staged flows perfectly and fits together in one cohesive plan. Another example lays in the master bedroom, a simplistic and minimalistic room. More neutral colors sit in this room with a tan carpet, white bedding and a single abstract painting on the wall featuring white, tan and gray shading. Another Nordic-style design choice made in this room is the white and black throw pillows. The pop of dark color in an otherwise neutral room draws contrast. This helps to highlight the other accents throughout the room.
